Working as a teaching artist for the past 10 years has absolutely changed my life! Becoming an educator has allowed me to daily embrace my curiosity and creativity as a life long learner.

Imaginative & Improvsational

My experience as a children's theatre performer, improviser and cabaret comedian inform every part of my teaching live.  Staying present, saying YES, and jumping into play help me grow as a teacher every day.

Virtual Classes and Interactive Digital learning is amazing and we’ve relished providing it, but there is also something very special that sprouts from a word we’re often scared of: Boredom! I remember, as an only child, my kindergarten teacher told my parents “Well, Brittny is very good at entertaining herself.” and I attribute that to two things: My overactive imagination and my parents allowing me (often out of necessity; thanks for working your butts off mom and dad!) to be bored!
So, how can we plant the seeds of imagination without…
  1. Taking Over
  2. Exhausting ourselves entertaining our kids
  3. Giving in or getting Frustrated at the first “I’m Bored!”?
